Chief Morocco Maduka is Dead After illness







Chief Emeka Morocco Maduka is described as the eye of Ekpiri music in lgbo land. His type of music is mostly played at festivals and memorable occasion like Burial,traditional marriage and many more.


He is widely regarded as the king of Igbo folklore music. He started his musical career at the young age of 14 and has released over 70 albums in his 60 years musical career. His most popular song is titled Ubanese. He is the king of Ekpili Music Genre, which is very popular in the southeastern part of Nigeria. Morocco Nwamaduka cannot be replaced in the music industry.

He marked his 60 years anniversary on stage on October 23rd and 24th, 2020 in Awka.

Chief Morocco Maduka gave up the ghost today being the 29th of October 2020 after a brief illness. He hails from ukwulu in Dunukofia Local Government Anambra State.  

 The music festival was earlier slated to hold on March 6th and 7th, 2020, but was shifted to October due to what the promoters termed "the unfortunate era of Corona Virus creating health fears around the world."The London based music promoter and president of Morocco Maduka's Fans Club, Mr Eddie Isebor regretted the shift in date, noting that it was better to postpone the event than stage an event of this magnitude and fans and supporters would refuse to show up due to palpable fears of the epidemic breaking presently in China and already spreading in parts of the world. 

 Isebor affirmed that sponsors and partners were already signing up in what would be the biggest music festival in Nigeria, stating that the shift was also an opportunity for more partners and sponsors to show interest.

 Chief Dr Emeka Morocco Maduka, the Ukwulu, Anambra born music maestro, is the oldest performing musician in the East of Nigeria. 

 He is famous with the Ekpili music genre and he enjoys followers all over the world, including United States of America, Europe and Asia.

His songs explains how the people and our forefathers relate with their cultures.
