Most Nigerians are now beginning to lost count of the days of the week and their corresponding dates. As a result of the lockdown, everyday seems to be a holiday, but more or less a compulsory one. It is not really an enjoyable holiday but like an imprisonment in the sense that you cannot move around to visit your love ones or celebrate it loud. As Nigerians celebrates Eid-el Fitr today sunday 24th may, 2020, marking the end of the Ramadan fast that stretched for 30day amidst the lock down, the Federal government has deem it fit to declare a fun filled day for Nigerians. Like every other countries of the world, Nigerian government has also set aside some special days for some special celebrations. These celebrations include Democracy Day, Worker’s Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day etc Below is a pictorial view of how the week will look like beginning from Monday: Of course with or without a celebration, Sundays are usually rest days, so not counted among working days. However, The Muslims faithful marks the Eid-el Fitr celebration starting from today Sunday. Children's day is a day set aside to celebrate children. A day to show them love and a day to appreciate them. Corona virus has in a way declared the holiday even before the federal government. Thursday, 28th may ,2020: NYSC POP Thursday 28th has also been set aside for National youth service corp (NYSC) passing out parade (POP) The Grand finale is Sunday 31st May 2020: Pentecost Celebration. Pentecost is a Christian Festival celebrated 49 days after Easter Sunday (the seventh Sunday) to commemorate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the children of God while they tarry in Jerusalem From Sunday to another Sunday, na so so celebration for Nigeria. The good part of the whole story is that Sunday is also the last day of the month. Ending a month with a celebration is very prophetic. Maybe God is set to wipe the tears of Nigeria and give us a garment of celebration in place of the garment of corona virus pandemic. At least with the lifting or easing of lockdown in some states of the federation will avail people an opportunity to move around to visit their love ones. It is our prayer that corona virus will go back to where it came from by the same it came to Nigeria, so Nigerians can live their normal lives yet again. I am pretty sure it will all end in praise.
