3 Catholic Priests frame up man for kidnap after sleeping with his wife

Three Catholic Priests in Imo State have allegedly framed up a young man, 31, for kidnap after one of the priests was caught by the man sleeping with his wife and even recorded the nudity. This was contained in a revelation by a popular journalist, Chidiebube Okeoma. The man whose name was given as Kenneth Osuagwu was earlier this week arrested by police in Imo State for allegedly kidnapping a Catholic Priest, Rev Fr. Augustine Odoemena of St. Jude Catholic Parish, Umueze 11, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state. Osuagwu's arrest followed a report by one Rev Fr Tobias Ihejirika of Saint Catholic Parish Ugiri in Isiala Mbano LGA about the kidnapping of his colleague, Rev Fr Augustine Odoemena. The suspect, Kenneth Osuagwu was paraded by Police in Imo State. According to the State Commissioner of Police, Isaac Akinmoyede, apart from arresting the suspect who hails from Umukita in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of the state, a highlander, one double barrel gun, two live cartridges, one expended cartridge, and other items were recovered as exhibits from the suspect. The Police commissioner disclosed that the suspect demanded N2m as ransom for the cleric’s release. However in a new twist to the saga, a popular journalist, Chidiebube Okeoma who writes for The PUNCH Newspapers and earlier reported the arrest of the alleged kidnapper said "there is a new twist to what we were told". "Three Catholic Priests teamed up to frame up a young man for kidnap because he caught one of the priests having sex with his wife and recorded his nudity?", Okeoma wrote on his Facebook timeline on Sunday May 24, 2020. "Can Ahiazu Mbaise people proof this their new claim? Why three priests teaming up against one   supposed innocent man? Was it part of their priestly calling? Will God forgive these priests if they are guilty? Having sex with a married woman who has a baby for her husband?", he asked. Okeoma's revelation is generating a lot of reactions from users of the social media platform.
