Trader bites electricity worker over power disconnection- Police confirmed

The Nigeria Police Force Lagos State Command has arraigned a 28 year old woman, Kemi Shopade before an Ikeja Magistrates Court in the state, for allegedly biting two staffs of Ikeja Electric in an attempt to disconnect power supply of the house where she lived.

Shopade was said to have committed the offence at her resident located in Alaguntan, Iyana-Ipaja axis of the state and was arrested and charged to court by police for conspiracy and assault.

The trader alongside two others who were at large assaulted the two staffs of the company identified as John Oluwole and Uwaoman Ibiam on November 24, although they sustained minor injuries.

According to the prosecutor, Sargent Godwin Awase, the offences contravened the accused allegedly dealt with the complainants by beating and biting them while performing their duty of disconnecting the electricity supply of the accused over unpaid electricity bills from January.
